The purpose of the assignment is to investigate an Australian law or area of law in which human rights are threatened or breached. The areas that need to be covered are:

  1. Identify the law or area of law.
  2. Discuss why it needs reform - what human rights are involved/breached. Is the law just and equitable? (If relevant, discuss individual v society rights).
  3. Examine alternative solutions
  4. Recommend a change
