Your task is to research an historical conflict, from either the period of Nazi rule in Germany OR the period of Apartheid in South Africa. You need to examine the responsibility and role of the Church during this time of conflict, with reference to Catholic social teaching. Your essay needs to be structured around a hypothesis that serves to analyse the relationship between religion and the state.
